Let me preface this post by saying, no one should get this excited about yogurt. I have been wanting to go to NYC purely to visit Chobani Soho ever since I first read that Chobani was opening a yogurt bar with interesting concoctions. My one goal of this trip besides seeing all the incredible art, live comedy, and excellent restaurants, was to visit Chobani Soho. My life is now complete.
The inside of Chobani Soho is so beautiful and incredibly bright. I literally want to build my house to look exactly like this store. The redwood, copper lamps, chalkboard paint, and glass everything was the perfect balance of modern and organic.
In the case below the bar you can see all of the new yogurts Chobani is releasing. I am especially excited to try the “key lime flip” and the “fig + orange zest bite.”
The menu makes it impossible to choose what combination you want, but a friend had suggested prior to our visit that the dark chocolate, pistachio, orange, mint, and honey was the best one, so we tried their suggestion. I was so impressed by the friendly staff and interactive nature of the store, because you actually get to go behind the counter and see them mix up your treat with all of their fresh ingredients!
The yogurt come out wrapped in this adorable little cheesecloth, and you get to keep the glass bowl it comes in! I am super bummed out because I accidentally left my keepsake in a restaurant shortly after devouring my yogurt, but hopefully I will be able to go back and get another one. I will only be eating yogurt out of this little recycled glass bowl.
The yogurt was incredibly delicious; much better than I even imagined. Part of me really thought it might be a gimmick, because its not that hard to put toppings on yogurt, but something about the quality of the ingredients and they way they layered everything was really different. They are kind enough to give you recipe cards that detail what goes into each item so you can create them at home, and I think I will definitely be taking a stab at making these. I am especially curious about the savory items like “plain yogurt, topped with cucumbers, olive oil, pita chips, and sea salt.” Part of me thinks it might be gross, but Chobani does no wrong.
Go to Soho and have a yog! It is healthy, inexpensive, and delish!

I bet that cucumber one is good! I made my own tzatziki sauce out of chobani plain, cucumbers, garlic, and mint. It’s tasty and really easy!
The plain greek taste is more similar to sour cream so it’s a healthy substitute for that as well.
oh yea! I love making dressing and sauce with greek yogurt. I use it as sour cream on tacos, soup, and everything and really can’t tell a difference. I was just wondering how it would taste just by itself though you know… I am sure its great, but I am still very hesitant
Ahhh the shop looks awesome! I tried some of the SoHo creations at Expo East but I’ve still been dying to go to the shop as well. Totally jealous of your visit.
It was so amazing!! I love that all the VA is 4 Bloggers people share my weird yogurt obsession
This looks like so much fun! All your posts about New York are making me really excited for my own trip in two weeks. You are definitely helping to fill out my to do list for that weekend!

I went there when I was visiting NYC (and met up with a blogger friend!) and it was so cool!! But they didn’t have the “bite” things out yet. I’m dying to find those in stores!
I knowww I feel like they only have them in big cities! I meant to buy some but I knew they wouldn’t keep on the bus back
I might get my buddy to bring some down this weekend! If I do there is one with your name on it!
