If you remember this post, I am OBSESSED with Wen Hair Care. To put things in perspective, I rarely think that a product is really life changing. Most of the time if I think something works it is probably just the placebo effect taking control, or I am justifying all the needless money I squander on whiterteethwrinklessacnefreecelluliteblastingskinsoftening etc. products. Most of the silly things I have bought give me nominal results, if any.
Wen is the exception to the rule! I am happy to report that I have been a happy Wen user for about three months now. It has made me a total snob and I refuse to use regular shampoo because I don’t want it to revert any of the magic it has worked on my locks.
This is a really weird/embarrassing mid-grooming pic (What…you don’t take pictures of yourself while you brush your hair?) but I wanted to show an example of how Wen keeps your hair oddly grease free, even after you don’t wash it for a couple days. Pre-Wen I would have to put my hair in a bun midway through the day, because otherwise I would look like Professor Snape. But now I just brush, flip, and it is miraculously oil-free and light. This photo was snapped two days without Wen-ning:
This rude photo was taken without my knowledge, after a long day of wine tasting and walking along the salty, breezy, Bay Bridge. I had a nap. The key thing to notice is that my hair would normally be a nest of a dreadlocks after 6 hours of heat, wind, and humidity, but instead it remained tangle free and much much shinier than it was before!
The lovely people at Wen read my last post and sent me their new seasonal scent Summer Mango Coconut, which really does smell exactly like summer in a bottle. They also gave me a full size bottle of Spring Gardenia Green Tea (a $32 dollar value) to give out to one of you lucky readers! It is killing me to not open the bottle and smell it, so whoever wins better let me know what kind of botanical escapades this guy contains.
